The Tree & The Sky

Yesterday I was sitting at my desk staring out the window.  You know what?  It's kind of hard to get any work done that way!  So what's the best thing to do?  If you are able, and I am most of the time, go.  Just get out. Go look at the sky, sit on a bench by the river or go walk in the woods.  Just get out.  If you're a photographer, take your camera with you, especially if you're in a rut, creative dry spell, I don't feel like shooting anything sort of mood.  Just get out!  Just Shoot!

Well, you know, it's not "Mine" per se but I love this and yesterday when I went to my usual, go to spot for shooting when I just want to get out and wander I was excited to see that all the tall grass from the previous season had been control-burned away to make way for spring!!   That meant I could get close to my tree, and I did but I had to approach it slowly, let it get used to me coming near.  You know, I didn't want to scare it!! :)

EDITING THE SHOT (no...I'm not about to get all technical!)

You know me, I'm not going to sit here and explain how I shot this, or how I edited it, frankly I'm lucky if I can remember what I've done when I edit photos!  Anyway,  I'm just not sure I'm 100% happy with this yet so you may see it again with a little tweak here or there.  I may start completely over to make it even more how I want it.  This is close and to everyone else, it'll be fine.  It's me, there's just a little niggling of a thing bugging me about it.  Can you guess what it is?

The Tree & The SkySpring skies and lone trees make me happy! Like this image?  Wouldn't you love to have a copy hanging in your home or office?  Yes?  If you click on it, you can buy it! Simple!
